KTERC is the first certified organic tea garden in Nepal that was established in 1984 by Mr. Deepak Prakash Baskota to rid his community of poverty. It remains a model social enterprise still today, that runs on cooperative infrastructure and is truly focused on the people and planet before profit.

Production Process

Lemongrass is a crop that our farm Kanchanjangha Tea Estate has been producing for a very long time. The lemongrass bushes are planted throughout our tea garden and mainly right on the borders of the tea garden, along with cardamom which protects the environment, and also supplement the tea production.

Origin

In our search for bringing non-caffeinated brews to our customers, we decided on organic lemongrass tea due to its wide application, not just as a refreshing herbal tea, but also a spice that can be used in cooking. The citrus and floral flavors really compliment any cuisine. Lemongrass tea is also known for its wide range of health benefits and healing properties.
