Sharad has spent more than 20 years in the tea garden. Starting as a tea plucker and now a tea maker and owner of a factory, he employs 15 workers and buys green leaves from over 72 farmers. Sharad says that tea is his life. He really cannot imagine a life without it. He says, “We don’t make tea, nature does that herself. Our only job is to identify them.”

He wants to grow Jasbire Tea Garden’s impact and pass on the legacy to his young son. He believes his practice of tea to be the “Art of Tea”, that will be backed by the modern understanding of science, brought in by his son.

White Tea Jasbire is crafted with care to preserve its delicate and nuanced profile. The process begins with plucking the finest leaves and buds at their peak, ensuring the sun’s gentle warmth intensifies their natural flavors. The freshly plucked leaves undergo sun withering for 1-2 hours, absorbing the soft sunlight to begin the moisture reduction process. They are then shifted to the shade, allowing for natural air withering, which retains their inherent freshness and floral aroma.
This careful shift between sun and shade is repeated to achieve the perfect balance of softness and flavor. Once withered, the leaves are gently rolled to release their subtle oils and shape their delicate structure. The final step involves precise drying to lock in the tea's character, resulting in a light, floral, and naturally sweet cup.
