This was by FAR the best idea for tea I have ever seen. Been using mine since I got it, just be careful not to fill it too full or you will get some tea leaves in your next sip!

Perfect for lazy day brewing

I've been "grandpa brewing" for years and, while I don't mind getting the occasional leaf between my teeth, the built in filter is a wonderful addition.
For everyone who says that the tea will over brew and get bitter? It really depends on the tea and how much you use. Shou Pu-erh is going to be fine - it's just about impossible to over steep.
Oolongs are lovely, but you really want to reduce how much you use, especially for the roasted ones.
Black Teas can be iffy - the larger the leaf the better
Green teas can be iffy - the more delicate Japanese ones tend not not do well (IMO) but this was MADE for a high end Dragon Well. (3g, or a good pinch, of leaf is plenty) It does well for most Chinese greens and, from what I understand from my Chinese friends, is the way that green tea is meant to be drunk.
Aged White Teas - bliss.

Great concept.

It's an infuser. The tea leaves steep a certain time and you want to pour the liquid out then, not sip it out. Otherwise the tea becomes bitter.
Therefore it really needs a spout so you don't either have your tea leaves spill over the dam or watch the liquid dribble on your counter.
And the hole placement near the rim of the cup needs to adequately allow all the liquid to drain out without needing to tip the mug too much.
Breaks easily. I know.
But.... the concept is best way too infuse tea. No better way. Seeing the tea leaves unfurl and float around! Wonderful.
Nepal Tea Collective is a WONDERFUL company and their tea is excellent. Their customer service is excellent!!!

Innovative and Beautiful!

I ordered one, held it, marveled at its simple beauty, its elegant construction, and wondered why someone hadn’t come up with this before. I have brewed both tea and tisane in this simply stunning cup and watched the leaves, spices, and flowers dance, the color of the water start to change, then slowly deepen.

The Wall® teacup is the simplest and cleanest way to infuse tea, herbs and berries in a single cup.  The glass cup has a fused glass strainer on the preferred drinking side to act as a filtration barrier to keep the leaves from your mouth allowing for a full, unconstricted infusion to occur.  The cup comes in 2 sizes – 440ml & 310ml options.

Each unit is handmade from 100% borosilicate glass (laboratory grade, heat resistant), and has proven to be extremely durable through extensive testing.  Because the entire unit is made from the same material, they are fully recyclable as well as dishwasher and microwave safe!
